At SmartSocial, we believe students are the true experts — and bring the most valuable insights to help parents, educators and other students learn how to best navigate the ever-changing digital world.
Our Content Creation Internship Program gives middle school and high school students the opportunity to share their personal experience and insights, build confidence, and develop valuable skills that colleges and employers love to see.
Monthly projects may discuss TikTok, Snapchat, video games, Instagram and other popular apps. Every month, students can choose from three exciting ways to participate — and each project earns them a $25 gift card to Starbucks or Amazon.

1) Video Projects
Students record short answers to 5–6 questions on a monthly topic. We edit and feature their insights in our videos. This helps students:
- Build on-camera/video interview confidence
- Learn how to communicate clearly
- Share their perspective with other teens nationwide
2) Research & Writing Projects
Students research a timely digital topic and answer 5–6 questions in a short blog post. This project helps teens:
- Build a positive digital footprint for colleges and future employers
- Strengthen research and writing skills
- Form and share opinions, including their own experiences
3) LIVE Event Guest Speaker Project
Students join Josh Ochs for a 1-hour live event as a guest presenter. Students answer 5–6 questions on stage (virtually) and give their perspective to families and schools. This opportunity helps them:
- Get experience that looks great on applications
- Practice public speaking in a supportive environment
- Learn to think on their feet
- Earn a gift card while helping kids nationally
